Description
Realistic portrait of a woman with a gift of prophecy. Her eyes demand that you listen to the revelation from the Divine Source. Her head piece is tattered to represent the mixed emotions of her subject's reaction to her voice. She has just finished saying: "I, THE PROPHET, PROPHESY TO YOU" now every viewer is obliged to listen, assuming she has gotten the attention. Matter of fact, she demands the attention, so, what excuse is there now to not hear? The painting was not part of the "Maasai Women . . . ." exhibition in 2006.
