Product Details

Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Artist's Description

This girl is gathering firewood for cooking a meal for the family. UH! Her mouth is covered because of her shyness. The young man who wants to marry her is seated to her right and is looking at her with great admiration. A long branch is directly behind her suggestive of her family she is about to leave if she marries 'Peter' ( Christian name ). Many Maasai peoples, now that missionaries have brought the Gospel to Kenya, have begun to give Christian names to their children. Her sticks do more than represent fuel because cow dung can also be fuel. My representation of the sticks in her hand serves as a movement matching the branch of her former family. They are lighter in color because her pregnancy may or may not cause her to be an acceptable daughter-in-law. Observe where the sticks are positioned just over her stomach.
